Football Playoff Game

Last night Kayden had his first playoff game of the season, his team had a slow start, but really learned the game after a little time, and practice together. We were playing the Provo Bulldogs, and the score stayed pretty close the whole game, at the end we won, it was super exciting for these boys who had lost all their games until the last three in a row. The other team did not agree with the score, they thought they had gotten a 2 point conversion, but instead had only received 1 point when they got a penalty that took them back 5 yards. They were super upset I get it, it was an important game, but not that important, the coaches and parents were screaming, yelling, acting a fool, not only were they very load, but rude, our boys lined up to give them a "good game" and high five, as we all do at the end of a game, win or lose, and the coach told him team NO, we will not do it, don't tell them good game. After some arguing with the refs they were told about the point and that they did not win, our boys lined up again to try and the coach refused to allow his team to congratulate us. WOW! I was amazed the yelling, screaming, and unsportsman like conduct was very poor, I hope none of these little boys pick up any of the things they saw their coaches and parents say and do! By the way this is 7th grade little boys a little overboard in my opinion!

This past weekend we had the opportunity to go up to Jordanelle with my sister, her kids, and Amanda and Tyson. Everyone went up on Thursday but Tony and I lagged behind because we both had to work on Friday. Friday finally came and I was super excited to get off work and head up, I got a phone call from Tony and he said he was not able to go, he ad to work Saturday morning. I was super sad wanting to be there with our whole family, I decided to head up anyway and he would come up after work Saturday early afternoon. When I got there I was amazed, the place was beautiful everything I have ever wanted in a house, everyone was down in the theatre room watching movies so I unloaded the car, and went to join them. We all had pizza for dinner and sat around talking. The next day we got up and my sister and I along with the kids decided to head to the Alpine slide, a good idea in theory, once we got on the ski lift after waiting an hour in line my baby girl started to panic, she did not like it at all, my sister having to wrestle Ian and not enjoying her ride either, was on a different lift than us but I got to take Millie and Owen with me, he was so cute, he was not scared at all, he just wanted to be bigger so he could go by himself and not have to ride with Aunt Missy. The ride was fun but i missed Husband he was still at work and not sure when he would be getting off this was very disappointing. After we got back we had lunch and hung around my sister and her kids left that night about the same time Husband got up there, we all sat around watching the kids dance and laughing at Kayden trying to dance with the girls. I have to say my favorite part was the TV had not been on or watched the whole day, and even the next day. Sunday morning we got up in a panic I realized we had about an hour to get out of the condo so I hurried to get everything cleaned, Amanda woke up and I said wouldn't have been nice to stay one more day, she said "let's do it" I was so excited to spend another day as a family with little distraction. It was Kelseys birthday and we needed to go to my Moms for dinner to celebrate the October birthdays so after shopping with everyone including my niece and sister in law who came up for the day to hang with us, we drove down to my Moms, after that we went back up tot he condo and stayed again this time it was only my little family and we had a great time! Thanks Amanda and Angi for spending time with us, we love you!

Homecoming

On Saturday Kelsey and her bestie Suddy went to homecoming, it was a long awaited event in these two girls lives. We have spent the last three weeks getting ready, dresses, shoes jewelry. These girls were so excited to be in high school and go to their very first dance, all the excitement got me pretty excited too! Saturday morning Kelsey grandma Amanda came and got the girls and took them to get nails and toes done, they came home and went on a day date to Trafalga, then we got them ready, hair and make up.
We knew that about a week before that Suddys date (my nephew) had found a new girl, he was liking someone else and I was so glad he kept his promise to her to still take her to the dance. While we were taking pics, her parents were being really rude, making rude comments about him and I was very upset, I couldn't believe the things they were saying about him, because he had not ditched out on her and was still taking her to the dance. When my sweet girls got home and I saw mascara streaming down the faces of my precious babies I realized that something had gone so wrong. Kelsey had nothing to say and her boyfriend was doing his best to comfort her. All of a sudden the whole group left our house except Suddy, and the tears started to flow, apparently the whole day she had tried to hold it all in, Steven had not paid any attention to her, not at the date, and not at the dance. He had been texting the other girl the WHOLE time, and the best part was they all had to leave the dance early so he could go get the other girl. He left Suddy at my house went and picked up the other girl and brought her back to my house! WOW! I was heart broken that I had been so upset about the things that Suddys parents had been saying when they were exactly right! He was a jerk!
The rest of the group sat and we talked about it, while Steven and the OTHER girl sat outside int he truck. Willey and Suddy had lots to say but my heart broken baby sat silent for over an hour while we discussed the situation, and everyone knows that is NOT at all like her! She was so torn between her best cousin and her best friend, so sad that her special night had been ruined, and most of all worried about the days yet to come. WHY, WHY, are boys such jerks, why do we make excuses for them, Oh they are boys, or oh teenage drama. I get that they are young, but they will soon be adults and as parents it is our job to teach them now how to act in the future. I really hope that Steven sees these are his three best friends and he owes them an apology, a big one he ruined all of their night!
Oh well, my baby was beautiful and so was Suddy I wish them the best at the next school dance there are many more to come!

Sick of being sick

Ugh, that about sums it up! I have been sick with my normal stuff for about three weeks, my normal stuff consists of extreme fatigue, sick tummy, aches and pains all over including my skin, my skin hurts so bad that even clothes are painful. I have been going through bouts of this for over 10 years and you would think that at some point I would get used to it, but alas I do not. Every time I start to feel this way again it brings up the issue that they told me with the combo of these two diseases I would be lucky to live 10 years, well that was 11 years ago so I am very hopeful that I am too stubborn to allow anything to take me from this world before I have had my fill. When I am feeling this way I know that my struggling immune system is way down, lower than normal, and that I need to do my best to steer clear of anyone with anything, even a sniffle. Well that is easier said than done. Husband caught a head/chest cold and two days later I was lucky enough to have searing, burning pain in my chest. This morning I woke up so full of boogers I was sure I would drown! Now my run down body says its time to stop and my busy life disagrees. UGH!

New school year

So we started school a few weeks ago, and we are trying to get our schedule all worked out, its so crazy to have BIG kids kids in high school and Jr. High... WOW they sure grow up quick! My kids are really busy, Kelsey has to be to drill at 6am Monday, Wednesday, Friday, so I have to run her in the mornings, then Kayden goes to school at 8am, so i turn around and go back to the school, then I work all day. Tony picks Kayden up at 3:30pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday he has football, He has to be there at 5pm-7pm,Wednesday are game days for him, this week it its at 8:45, (don't these people know I need to SLEEP!) Kelsey has drill after school on Tuesday and Thursday, and solo practice after school on Wednesday. Fridays are our school football games, and Kelsey dances in them so we have to attend them, my nephew is also playing for our school team this year on both teams so we will try to attend his JV games as well as his Varsity ones (that's where Kelsey dances). We only have 3 home games this whole year so we will miss watching him play!
This year Kelsey got asked to homecoming, which is our first home game, and first time she will preform so I am getting excited, not sure how I feel about the dance, she is kinda young, but I know her Cousin Steven will watch out for her and she knows how to make good choices, so all in all I think she is ready! After all this is what high school is all about right?
Tonight is Kaydens first football game and we are excited, I got an email at 4:30am, this morning saying he needs to wear a shirt and tie to school today for game day... UGH he doesn't even own one! So I headed to Walmart at 6 this morning to go get him one, oh wait I don't know how to even tie a tie... This could be interesting! Well I guess I will call my Sis if I cant get it she can help me for sure!
As soon as these events start to happen I will update with pics to capture all these great moments!
